Frequently asked questions

1. How do i contact you for a quote?
After clicking on the "contact us" button, you will be directed to our enquiry form. We will then email you or call you with a quotation.

2. When should i contact you for a quote?
We prefer that you contact us as early as possible, giving us enough time to arrange Shipping documents and so on. There are many issues to consider when Shipping a motor vehicle to a foreign destination such as the suitability of the car to the local environment, the availability of spare parts, local import duties and taxes etc. Vehicle buyers can contact us before making a purchase so that we can confirm if the vehicle would be suitable or not.

3. Do i pay according to the size of the vehicle?
The Sea freight is calculated on the space your vehicle takes up within the Container. As a general rule the larger the car the higher the Shipping costs.

4. What documents do i need for export?
If exporting a car from the UK for more than 1 year then you will need to notify DVLA. All you need to do is complete the "Notification of export" section on the V5 and post it to the DVLA.

5. Does my vehicle have to be clean?
Some countries e.g. Australia requires that you clean the cars thoroughly before bringing them into the country. It is therefore advisable to organise cleaning here in the UK before Shipping your car. We can offer such a service upon request.

6. Can i load personal items into the vehicle before i export?
You can load personal items into the boot of the car as long as they are packed securely. Kindly note that we will not take responsibility for any personal items lost during Shipping. Some countries e.g Cyprus and Malta do not allow vehicles to be shipped with goods inside so please contact us for more informaion before loading your vehicle.
